OUR WEDDING
If you’re reading this, it means you’re one of our favorite people in the universe. And with that distinction comes an invitation - we hope you’ll join us to celebrate our marriage.
When we sat down to begin planning this celebration, we thought about the places, feelings, and people that have been most special in our lives. Sara recalled summers at her family’s cabin —afternoons in the hammock with a book, searching for frogs with her siblings, and roasting marshmallows for s’mores. Tony similarly recounted trips to his family’s house on Lake Tahoe; catching crawdads, and jumping off the dock into the almost glacially cold water. We smiled as we reminisced about our favorite memories from our “adult” life together; riding scooters through rice paddies in Bali, belly laughs around the campfire with Burning Man friends, hiking along the coastline in Big Sur, and long leisurely dinner parties with plenty of good wine & conversation.
A few words continued to float up as we brainstormed—family, community, playfulness, nature, connection, participation, curiosity. We thought about all the wonderful people in our lives and the prospect of having them in the same place, at the same time. “We’re the luckiest,” we agreed. The truth is, not only are we elated about being surrounded by our favorite people all weekend, but we’re excited that you get to be surrounded by each other. Trust us, you’re going to love each other.
So what does this all roll up to? How do we combine all these favorite memories into one joyous, sentimental, epic wedding weekend?
Pack your bags and dust off your childhood enthusiasm, because we’re getting married at a summer camp

Accomodations
All weekend events will be at Camp Campbell, just outside Boulder Creek, CA. The road to Campbell is very twisting and mountainous. It’s also absolutely gorgeous, especially if you take it nice and slow during daylight hours. We’re asking all guests to stay at Campbell or nearby - we don’t want anyone driving at night after the festivities!
Camp Campbell
We strongly encourage everyone to stay with us at Camp Campbell for the weekend. We have lots of fun surprises and celebrations in store, and staying on site means you’re never more than a few steps from the action (or your bed, at the end of the night!)
+ Q: Does that mean I have to camp? I sold my sleeping bag years ago..
A: No tents! Campbell has newly-renovated cabins that each sleep 8-14 people, bunkhouse-style. Each cozy bunk has it’s own reading light and bedside outlet. Linens, pillows and towels are provided, and every cabin has attached, indoor showers and bathrooms. Yes they’re communal, but they’re waaaay nicer than the cabins from your childhood summer camp! We promise! Check out the photos below if you don’t believe us.
+ Q: I’m only staying at camp on Saturday - do you have an option for one night?
A: Unfortunately not - you can choose to join for one or two nights, but the price will be the same.
+ Q: Who else will be in my cabin? Can I request my bunkmates?
A: We’ll be carefully curating sleeping arrangements for each cabin to ensure groups are familiar and comfortable. We’re not accepting requests - just trust us :)
+ Q: Will I need to run outside to an outhouse in the middle of the night?
A: No! All cabins have attached, indoor facilities with individually-enclosed bathrooms and showers (no locker room style showers).
+ Q: Do I have to share a bathroom with friends of the opposite gender? Will I get cooties?
A: We’ve received some requests for gender separation among the “adult” guests (e.g. parents’ friends) so we’ll likely do single-gender cabins for that age group. Families, and everyone under the age of ~35, will be in a mixed gender cabin. Please reach out to Sara if you’re concerned about anything here, or have questions.
+ Q: I am planning to bring my child(ren) to the festivities. Should we stay in a cabin?
A: Excellent question. How does your child feel about bunk beds? Can he/she sleep through the night, or be self-sufficient to use the bathroom at 3am? If so, definitely join us in the cabins! If not - Brookdale might be a better option.
+ Q: Will transportation be provided between Brookdale Lodge and Camp Campbell?
A: Transportation will likely only be provided on Saturday evening. Please plan to transport yourself between the camp and hotel before/after the welcome party on Friday, and for any daytime activities on Saturday.
+ Q: What should I pack?
A: Dress code information is included in the Weekend Events section above. Keep in mind, Camp Campbell won’t have many of the standard amenities of a hotel - things like hair dryers, tiny shampoo bottles, beach towels, or an overpriced minibar. We encourage you to think about the items you’ll need, and pack your own versions. We’ll have extra hangers in each cabin, as well as a few communal ironing boards / steamers for folks traveling from out of town. If you find yourself in a pinch - ask a bunkmate to share!

BrooKdale Lodge
If you have health considerations or circumstances that prevent you from staying in a cabin, there is a quirky little hotel about 10 minutes away from Camp Campbell called the Brookdale Lodge. We’ve reserved a block of rooms, but they are very limited! If you’re unsure whether you’ll be able to join us, but know you would definitely need a hotel, we recommend you book a room now - you’ll be able to cancel up to 30 days before the wedding.
Booking
To receive the reduced rate, call the hotel and ask to book in the “Lannin wedding” block

getting to camp
All weekend events will be at Camp Campbell, just outside Boulder Creek, CA. For those arriving on Friday (hopefully YOU!) - please try to time your arrival at Campbell no earlier than 4pm (the gates will literally be shut, and you’ll need to wait in the town nearby) and no later than 8pm (so someone will be available to show you to your cabin, and offer you food!)
Driving
The road to Campbell is very winding, but it’s absolutely gorgeous if you take it nice and slow during daylight hours. Sara also recommends you put your phone down (if, like her, you’re prone to carsickness!)
With no traffic, and no need for headlights, driving to Campbell should take about 1 ½ - 2hrs from San Francisco, and about 1 - 1 ½ hrs from Palo Alto.
FLYING
For those joining us from out of town, we recommend flying into San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco (SFO) and renting a car. Driving time from SJC is roughly one hour, and from SFO it’s about an hour and a half.
Note: If your flight lands at SJC or SFO with plenty of time to spare, we recommend hanging out in one of the more populated cities of the peninsula before starting the drive. A reminder that guests will not be able to enter Camp Campbell until after 4pm on Friday, and there are very few attractions nearby (unless you want to go for a hike, which we totally recommend!)
